We were decked out in red, blue and white – the three colours (or might I say, colors*) of the American flag. The concert featured a myriad of American composers including, Aaron Copland, Frank Ticheli, Leonard Bernstein and John Williams. We also performed a tribute to the late Eagles lead singer, Glen Frey. My favourite of the afternoon was Watermelon Man from American Graffiti XIV Quincy Magic arranged by Naohiro Iwai. It was enjoyable playing with the Mus’art Wind Orchestra again after a 4 year hiatus!
