Xin Saxophone Quartet’s inaugural recital, entitled Back to Basics, was held at Forte Musicademy’s Sinfornietta Recital Hall. Each of us presented a solo piece in the first half of our recital. The second half featured the entire quartet playing pieces such as Georges Bizet’s Carmen Fantasy, Jean Rivier’s Grave et Presto and Jean-Baptiste Singelee’s Grand Quatuor Concertant. We also performed the World Premiere of new work by Singaporean composer, Jay Ong, entitled Enclosures. Here:
